Asset overview
Understand the setup.
Then make it your own.
_RockGen2 is a Blender Geometry Nodes asset in OmniKit’s nature collection.
Iterative rock generator (Repeat Nodes method, after Daniel/Blender 4.0 tutorial, rebuilt for 5.1). Feed any rough mesh; it distorts, expands+grounds the base, fills downward faces with extruded hexagon chunks (early passes), voxel-retopologizes with increasing resolution per iteration, and accumulates multi-directional noise-loop displacement. Outputs blurred edge_angle + rock_tex attributes for the BHub_Rock2Mat granite shader (cavity moss, edge wear, lichen). Musgrave replaced by Noise fractal (removed in 4.1).
Its exposed inputs include Seed, Distort, Iterations, Voxel Start, Voxel End, Base Expand, Base Height. Review the control reference below to plan a suitable setup.
Source and setup notes
Source node name: BHub_RockGen2
Collection: Nature/Stylized Rock Generator
Structural inspection used Blender 5.2.0 LTS. Other releases and render engines require separate checks.
How to approach this asset
- Check the source notes for the expected mesh, curve, field, shader or World context.
- Start with a disposable scene and a suitable input. Inspect required object, material or collection inputs.
- Adjust one documented control at a time. Evaluate the result before using it in a production project.
