Asset overview

Understand the setup.
Then make it your own.

Proximity Mask Pro is a Blender Geometry Nodes asset in OmniKit’s utilities collection.

Drop onto a mesh and choose a separate mesh Target. Writes a clamped float distance mask on points; optional normal displacement visualizes influence. Inner/Outer distance and Power control falloff. Empty targets give zero influence. Local-space distances; output read with Named Attribute. AI thumbnail is illustrative; input geometry is supplied by the user. Show Mask Colors displays the stored scalar in blue/amber; choose Target first. Disable it to retain your materials.

Its exposed inputs include Show Mask Colors, Inner Distance, Outer Distance, Power, Invert, Output Name, Normal Displace. Review the control reference below to plan a suitable setup.

Collection: 07 Utilities/Utility Pro Tools

Structural inspection used Blender 5.2.0 LTS. Other releases and render engines require separate checks.

How to approach this asset

  1. Check the source notes for the expected mesh, curve, field, shader or World context.
  2. Start with a disposable scene and a suitable input. Inspect required object, material or collection inputs.
  3. Adjust one documented control at a time. Evaluate the result before using it in a production project.
