Asset overview

What this node setup does

MESH INPUT: drop on a mesh, or feed mesh geometry to Geometry. Apply object scale for predictable distances. | Seeded Poisson surface holes with face selection, facing filter, sharp-edge clearance, radius variation, inward depth, exact Boolean cuts and optional collar instances. Hard cap 128 holes. Seven outputs including Hole Centers and Hole Count. Center attributes: NF_drill_id, NF_drill_radius, NF_drill_normal. Collars lie on tangent planes; they do not conform to highly curved surfaces.

Source and setup notes

Source asset name: OMNI - Surface Drill Pro

Collection: Volume & SDF Grids/SDF Operations (Offset Fillet Mean)

Structural inspection used Blender 5.2.0 LTS. Other releases and render engines require separate checks.

How to approach this asset

  1. Check the source notes for the expected mesh, curve, field, shader or World context.
  2. Start with a disposable scene and a suitable input. Inspect required object, material or collection inputs.
  3. Adjust one documented control at a time. Evaluate the result before using it in a production project.
